Relocating to the fjords

Geirangerfjorden is, by many, considered the most beautiful natural attraction Norway has to offer, and is regularly visited by droves of eager tourists.
It is natural to assume that Norway’s oil production should see a decline in the not too distant future. The result will be an abundance of abandoned oil platforms.

Promoting tourism in Norway has been on the to-do-list for a long time. To make tourism more convenient it is possible to use of the rigs as a cruise ship terminal.

The stark span between the serene nature and the raw, industrial feel of the oil industry creates a striking contrast. This should be viable as a tourist target and benefit the local tourist industry.
